Since April 2002, Dr. Andreas Gutsch has been the head of Creavis Technologies & Innovation. Creavis is Degussas strategic research & development and corporate venturing arm of approx. 160 employees aiming to the rapid development of advanced technologies and prod-ucts in new markets for Biotechnology, Functional Polymers and Nanomaterials. Dr. Gutsch belongs to a number of advisory committees at the German Science Foundation (DFG) and National Science and Technology Foundation (BMBF), acts as special advisor for the Land North Rheine-Westphalia, and is an appointed member of various scientific organiza-tions. Dr. Gutsch has filed 24 patents applications and more than 45 publica-tions in several international journals.
